Handmade of the Day : Love our Earth Buttons

New handmade buttons for sale on how to love our earth.  They are a limited collection of buttons promoting how to save the planet, the kind of activities we need to do to make the earth a better place to live in.

These buttons came from a quilt I made about 5 years about on how to save the planet which I was intending to submit for the "Dare to Dream" project of the International Fiber Collaborative Dream Rocket project which I never sent. The images on the buttons are the appliqued images I had on the quilt. 

All these buttons are size 38mm (1-1/2") and available as magnetic buttons and keychains in addition to the regular pinback buttons. You can wear them on your hat or pin them in your shirts and/or bags. Click on the image above to check what buttons are available. Projects and Ideas : Decaled Candle using Inkjet Decal Sheets

Have you ever tried embellishing a candle using an inkjet decal paper? Here is one which I did for a work colleague of mine whose son was going to be confirmed about 2 years ago. Using an inkjet printer the image was printed an inkjet clear decal paper. Once printed, I sprayed a Krylon acrylic crystal clear protective finish to protect the image. I sprayed the image three times and once it was totally dried I applied the decal to the candle as flat as possible after soaking it in water for about 30 seconds. I made sure that there were no air pockets and then left the application on the candle to dry.

They meausre 51cm x 71cm (20"x28"), are heavyweight and made of 100% cotton that this why they are strong enough for iron-on transfers, embroidery and appliques.
